When we opened the box, everything we needed was right there: the ice maker itself, a handy ice scoop, a removable ice bin, and the Instruction Manual. Our first thought? We were really impressed with the whole look of it. The stainless steel exterior is super sleek, the control panel has easy-to-understand icons, and the black plastic top feels really sturdy.
But our favorite part has to be the lid – it’s completely see-through, so you get a great view of the whole ice-making process inside. It’s way better than those older machines with tiny little windows.

But if that’s still not enough, there’s another awesome way to add water – you can use a bottle through a special opening on the top. This is a total game-changer because it means you don’t have to keep refilling it all the time, unlike many more compact countertop models.
On the other hand, the ice basket on this machine can hold up to 2.6 pounds of ice at once (though we’d say a bit more). While it might not be the absolute biggest ice capacity out there, it’s definitely one of the largest. Plus, remember, you can have that much ice in about an hour and a half, which is pretty impressive.
Now, they say this machine can make up to 45 pounds of ice in a single day. We can’t say for sure if that’s true because we haven’t tested it for that long. To do that, you’d have to keep refilling the water and emptying the ice all day long.
