Hey there! Today, I’m going to tell you all about the Euhomy Im-Fp Countertop Clear Ice Maker. If you’re wondering if it’s worth buying in 2024, I’m here to help! This ice maker it’s the most popular one out there in the “Clear Ice Maker” category, and that’s because it looks super sleek and modern, has almost all the latest features (way better than older models like the Efic452, Newair ClearIce40, or Luma Comfort), and it works like a charm.

This ice maker has been put to the test for the past 4 months, for hours on end to see what it was really capable of. It was even compared to some other top-rated ice makers to see how it stacks up against the competition. On top of that, we’ve been using and testing different countertop ice makers for the past 3 years, so we know a thing or two about these machines. We’re confident we can give you a solid opinion based on our own hands-on experience.

Stay tuned, and I’ll spill all the tea on this machine. By the end of this review, you’ll be able to tell if it’s the one for you, or if you should keep searching.

Euhomy Im-Fp Unboxing, First Impressions and Operation

When we opened the box, everything we needed was right there: the ice maker itself, a handy ice scoop, a removable ice bin, and the Instruction Manual. Our first thought? We were really impressed with the whole look of it. The stainless steel exterior is super sleek, the control panel has easy-to-understand icons, and the black plastic top feels really sturdy.

But our favorite part has to be the lid – it’s completely see-through, so you get a great view of the whole ice-making process inside. It’s way better than those older machines with tiny little windows.

Euhomy Im-Fp Control Panel

Using the Euhomy Im-Fp is a breeze. There are only 4 buttons on the control panel and an LCD screen that tells you what’s going on. The ON/OFF button is self-explanatory. The TIMER/CLEAN button does double duty: you press it for a few seconds to start the self-cleaning mode, or you can use it to set a timer for when you want the machine to turn on or off. The other 2 buttons let you choose how dense you want your ice cubes to be.

The LCD screen uses symbols to show you what’s going on at all times – things like the room temperature, how long until the next batch of ice is ready, when the ice bin is full, or when you need to add more water. It’s all really quite easy to understand.

Premium Ice, Customizable Thickness, Impressive Speed

The coolest thing about this machine (pun intended!) is the kind of ice it makes. It’s those square, crystal-clear cubes, just like the ones you get from those big commercial ice machines in restaurants and hotels. This type of ice is perfect for pretty much any drink because it doesn’t melt and water down your drink as fast as other kinds of ice. You can use it in cocktails, smoothies, sodas, iced tea, milk – you name it.

Now, let’s talk about speed. This machine makes ice at a really impressive pace. It might not be as lightning-fast as those Nugget or Bullet Ice Makers, but it’s definitely not slow either. Depending on how thick you set the ice, it can make a batch in anywhere from 10 minutes (for thinner cubes) to 22 minutes (for thicker ones).

The default setting (+0M) is what you get every time you turn on the machine. At this setting, you’ll have a batch of ice in about 16 minutes, and the whole ice bin (2.6 lbs) will be full in about an hour and a half. I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty darn fast to us for that much ice!

Euhomy Im-Fp Water Tank, Ice Storage, and High Output

Two other things we really appreciate about this ice maker (and where it really shines compared to others) are the production capacity and the storage capacity. The Euhomy Im-Fp’s water tank can hold a whopping 3.2 liters of water. Seriously? That’s the biggest we’ve ever seen on a countertop machine! But if that’s still not enough, there’s another awesome way to add water – you can use a bottle through a special opening on the top. This is a total game-changer because it means you don’t have to keep refilling it all the time, unlike many more compact countertop models.

On the other hand, the ice basket on this machine can hold up to 2.6 pounds of ice at once (though we’d say a bit more). While it might not be the absolute biggest ice capacity out there, it’s definitely one of the largest. Plus, remember, you can have that much ice in about an hour and a half, which is pretty impressive.

Now, they say this machine can make up to 45 pounds of ice in a single day. We can’t say for sure if that’s true because we haven’t tested it for that long. To do that, you’d have to keep refilling the water and emptying the ice all day long. But based on how fast it makes ice and how well it performed during our tests, we’d say it’s definitely capable of producing that much.

So, if you need a lot of ice, this machine should definitely be able to keep up.

Ice Handling and Convenient Features

There’s one thing to keep in mind about how this machine gives you ice. It comes out in a single sheet of 24 cubes that are all connected, so you’ll need to break them apart yourself. If you set the ice to be thinner than the default setting (+0M), the included scoop should do the trick just fine. But if you like your ice cubes thicker, you might find the scoop isn’t strong enough. In that case, you have two options: 1) get a metal scoop, or 2) put the ice in a zip-top bag and tap it on the counter a few times to break it up.

Like most ice makers today, this one has an auto shut-off feature. It kicks in when the machine senses that the ice basket is full. This is really handy because you don’t have to babysit it, and it prevents the machine from working needlessly. Once you take some ice out and the machine notices, it’ll automatically start making more as long as there’s water in the tank.

Also, if the ice level drops because some of it melted, the machine is smart enough to reuse that water to make more ice. So, no water goes to waste!

Reliable and Quiet Operation: Exceeding Expectations

Like I mentioned earlier, this machine was put through its paces for hours over the past 4 months to see how it held up. We wanted to know if it worked the same at the beginning as it did after running for a while. It was checked if it made ice at the same speed and filled the basket in the same amount of time, even after hours of use. It was also tested in hot weather, with temperatures around 90 degrees. And I’m happy to report that this machine blew our expectations out of the water.

As we figured, it worked like a dream in ideal conditions. But the real surprise was that even when things weren’t perfect, it still performed amazingly well. The most noticeable thing was that it made ice a little slower in tough conditions, but the ice quality was still top-notch. So, in terms of performance, this machine is a real champ.

Another thing we love about this machine is how quiet it is. Noise is always a big complaint with ice makers. Some people find the sound really annoying, while others don’t mind it. But this machine genuinely surprised us. We honestly can’t remember trying another ice maker that was this quiet. And if it’s not the absolute quietest one we’ve ever used, it’s definitely one of them. So, if you’re worried about noise, don’t be – this machine won’t disrupt your day.

Slow-Melting Ice, Practical Drain, and Portability Notes

Just like most ice makers, the Euhomy Im-Fp won’t keep ice frozen forever. If you leave the ice in the machine, it will eventually melt. But here’s the good news: the ice in this machine stays frozen for a surprisingly long time. It’s not just that it melts slowly (which it does!), but the machine also does a great job of keeping the cold in. In fact, a little test was done and the basket full of ice was left in there to see what would happen. After 4 hours, the ice level had barely dropped! This is a big plus if you are busy or can’t get the ice to the freezer right away. With other ice makers, the ice melts much faster, so you have to use or transfer it almost immediately.

Another feature this machine has, like most countertop models, is a water drain. It’s covered by a plug and located on the bottom of the machine. On a lot of machines we’ve tried, these plugs can be a little tricky to find and remove, and this one is no exception. But once you’ve done it once, it should be easier the next time. This drain is really important, not just for cleaning the machine, but also to prevent moisture and mold from building up inside.

The last thing I want to mention is portability. This is one area where this machine isn’t the best. The bigger the machine and the more ice it can make and store, the heavier it’s going to be. You can technically move it around and use it wherever you want, but because of its weight, you won’t want to do it too often. The Euhomy Im-Fp weighs about 24 pounds, so it’s pretty hefty. But since it doesn’t need to be hooked up to a water line, you can definitely use it at home, in the office, on a camping trip, in an RV, on a boat – you get the idea.

Our Final Thoughts On The Euhomy Im-Fp Countertop Clear Ice Maker

Out of all the countertop ice makers we’ve tested, the Euhomy Im-Fp is hands-down one of the most complete machines we’ve ever used. It’s got almost everything you could want: a sleek design, top-notch ice, amazing performance, a huge water tank and ice bin, it’s quiet, you can adjust the ice settings, set timers, add water in two ways, and it even cleans itself. Seriously, what more could you ask for in a countertop ice maker? Maybe a few extra bells and whistles, but trust me, there are plenty of good ice makers out there, but not many that offer this many benefits all in one package.

Plus, the brand behind this machine is a major player in the ice maker world. They’re known for having a wide variety of high-quality products that people rave about. And if that wasn’t enough, they also have one of the best customer service teams around. We’ve read tons of reviews, not just for this machine, but for their other products too, and people consistently praise their quick response and helpfulness in solving any issues.

When you look at the big picture, the good stuff about this machine far outweighs the few downsides. There are plenty of great ice makers out there, but the Euhomy Im-Fp is in a league of its own. It’s easy to see why it’s one of the most popular options around.

So, is the Euhomy Im-Fp Countertop Clear Ice Maker worth it? Absolutely. Do we recommend it? You bet we do!
